Forever 21 Expands to Larger Location at Great Lakes Crossing

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 16, 2010 – Forever 21, one of the most popular fashion boutiques at Great Lakes Crossing, will launch a major expansion and relocation this year. Combining and adding to the offerings of the existing Forever 21 and For Love 21 stores, the new Forever 21 will showcase a vast array of fashion-forward women’s and men’s clothing and accessories at value prices.  The spacious, 47,000-square-foot store is expected to open by early fall and will have two entrances at Great Lakes Crossing, one in District 4 and another in District 8.

Michael Kors Outlet recently opened, and Crocs™ and Perfume Plus will open outlets soon. Coming this winter is the much-anticipated Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, with Bar Louie, Lik Gelato Bar and Olga’s Kitchen joining Great Lakes Crossing’s expansive dining lineup by summer.

The Food Court is located between Districts 6 and 7, easily accessible from Entry 6 or 7.

Are pets allowed in the Center? Only service dogs are allowed in the Center. All other pets brought into the Center must be in an enclosed carrier and approved by the Mall Management Office.

Bank of America is the ATM machine provider at Great Lakes Crossing. ATM machines are located in District 2, at Entry 7 and in the Food Court.

Where can I get a wheelchair?

Guest Services located in District/Entrance 6 provides complimentary wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs with a $10 deposit on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend you visit early to ensure availability. The deposit will be returned upon the return of the wheelchair to Guest Services.

Do you charge for shopping bags?

Shopping bags are complimentary to registered groups of 10 or more people. Great Lakes Crossing does not sell shopping bags.

There is not an elevator at the shopping center because Great Lakes Crossing is a single-level mall.

Where can I purchase a mall gift card?

Great Lakes Crossing gift cards are available to purchase at Guest Services, located in District/Entry 6 or online. Great Lakes Crossing gift cards can be redeemed at all stores and restaurants that accept American Express.

What do I do if I can't remember where I parked my car?

Great Lakes Crossing's Security Department can assist with locating your vehicle. Ask an officer for assistance or visit Guest Services in District/Entry 6 and Security will be contacted on your behalf.

What do I do if my car won't start in the mall parking lot?

Security provides jumpstarts for vehicles parked in the mall parking lot. If you need assistance, visit the Security Office located in District 2 or Guest Services in District 6.

Marketing Intern

Overview:

The marketing department at Great Lakes Crossing has an opening for a college intern who will assist the management team and gain knowledge of marketing and advertising. The intern will be given projects to develop, execute and manage as they relate to the shopping center.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing director and marketing coordinators in all related initiatives
  • Execute corporate, merchant, sponsor and website promotions
  • Assist with all aspects of shopping center events
  • Write/edit marketing collateral such as public relations materials, tenant newsletters, website content and advertisements
  • Facilitate in-center tasks, research and administrative duties on a daily basis

Job Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a college or university and able to receive college credit(s) for completing the internship, preferably majoring in marketing, advertising, public relations or a related field
  • A professional attitude
  • Ability to multitask and shift gears quickly
  • Comfortable speaking to different audiences (store management teams, customers, mall management staff, corporate contacts)
  • Enthusiasm for tasks at hand
  • Ability to work 25-30 hours a week, preferably three days per week
  • Willingness to work occasional weekend events
