Great Lakes Crossing Internship
Intern at the Michigan's favorite shopping and entertainment destination!
Purpose
To give Great Lakes Crossing additional dedicated manpower and resources to reach company goals. The intern will be expected to execute daily tasks and perform responsibly and professionally, but also be a part of a rewarding learning experience. This internship program is created to equally help the Great Lakes Crossing team and increase the intern's marketing and advertising knowledge.
The intern will be given projects which they will be responsible for developing, executing and managing as they relate to Great Lakes Crossing. First and foremost, all tasks will be related to customer awareness, corporate driven promotions, servicing our sponsors/customers and developing new ideas to achieve high goals in these areas.
Great Lakes Crossing accepts applications for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer semesters for unpaid internships for college credit. Internship durations correlate to school semester dates.
Melissa Morang and Karen Sampsell will be the main supervisor in assigning projects and evaluating.
This internship will offer direct involvement with the management staff, office staff, retailers, sponsors and customers.
The intern duties are as follows:
Support the Marketing Director, Marketing Coordinators
Assist with the execution of corporate, merchant, sponsor and website promotions
Assist with coordination of events
General in-center tasks, research and administrative duties on a daily basis
Assist with sponsorship fulfillment
The requirements are:
- A professional attitude
- Enthusiastic
- Minimum of 20 hours a week, and willing to work events weekends occasionally
Although, this internship is unpaid, it may be used as college credit. The intern will gain knowledge of marketing, advertising and sponsorship. The experience and contacts gained by this internship are extremely beneficial in future career opportunities.
