Great Lakes Crossing Internship
Intern at the Michigan's favorite shopping and entertainment destination!
Internship Overview:
The intern will provide Great Lakes Crossing additional dedicated manpower and resources to reach company goals. The intern will be expected to execute daily tasks and perform responsibly and professionally, but also be a part of a rewarding learning experience. This internship program is created to equally help the Great Lakes Crossing management team and increase the intern's marketing and advertising knowledge.
The intern will be given projects to develop, execute and manage as they relate to Great Lakes Crossing. First and foremost, all tasks will be related to customer awareness, corporate driven promotions, servicing our sponsors/customers and developing new ideas to achieve high goals in these areas.
Great Lakes Crossing accepts applications for fall, winter, spring and summer semesters for unpaid internships for college credit. Internship durations correlate to school semester dates.
This internship will offer direct involvement with the management staff, office staff, retailers, sponsors and customers.
The intern duties are as follows:
* Support the Marketing Director and Marketing Coordinators in all initiatives
* Execution of corporate, merchant, sponsor and website promotions
* Assistance with all aspects of shopping center events
* Market Research
* Writing/editing of marketing collateral including, but not limited to, public relations materials, tenant newsletters, website content, advertisements, etc.
* Facilitation of in-center tasks, research and adminstrative duties on a daily basis
The requirements are:
* A professional attitude
* Ability to multi-task and shift gears quickly
* A comfort level in speaking with many different types of audiences (store management teams, customers, mall management staff, corporate contacts, etc.)
* Enthusiasm
* Minimum of three business days a week (9 am – 4 pm for interns), and willing to work occasional weekend events
Interns must receive college credit for internship. The intern will gain knowledge of marketing, advertising and sponsorship. The experience and contacts gained by this internship are extremely beneficial in future career opportunities.
