Now Hiring: Facilities Maintenance Position
Department: Facilities - Great Lakes Crossing
Responsibilities:
* Experience in a commercial building/property is highly recommended
* Responsible for performing maintenance and repair of the shopping center mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, architectural features, carpentry, general building maintenance, wall and floor finishes and other components pertinent to Michigan's favorite value and entertainment shopping center
* Must have knowledge of large HVAC systems
* Areas of responsibility would include working both interior and exterior portions of the common areas and project facilities
* Coordinates and/or assists the work of center contracted services as they relate to areas of responsibilities
* Executes and implements preventative maintenance and repair for all systems and equipment. Also coordinates and performs maintenance and repair for other department systems
* Maintains all furnishings, equipment and tools in safe working order
* Reports to Facilities Superintendant conditions that require further attention to ensure
* Needs to demonstrate an ability to work in teams, be self-motivated and develop a hands-on proactive attitude as a member of the Facilities team
* Provides input and feedback to the Facilities Superintendant to minimize repair and maintenance expenses within the department. Performs work in a manner using the most cost-effective methods
* Possesses the ability to use computer programs (i.e. preventative maintenance programs, building automated systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite)
* Demonstrates a professional customer service approach with all merchants, corporate and shopping center departments to full support of others to ensure collective success
* Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with all center staff, merchants, suppliers, vendors and contractors
* Flexible availability - able to work evening and weekend shifts.
Background Required:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* 2-3 years of general building maintenance experience
